Regional accent and grammar modification is for actors, professionals, public speakers- anyone who wants to make changes in how they speak. Clear speech and voice enhance every aspect of your life. Sound good to others and take pride in knowing that you convey your message with clarity and skill!
· Identify trouble sounds, stress and intonation patterns.
· Learn the International Phonetic Alphabet and the proper sounds for a Standard American Dialect
· Learn key sound substitutions that will dramatically reduce a regional accent
· Develop a “good ear” and learn to hear the differences between a Standard American Dialect and other regional dialects.
· Communicate confidently in a broader range of professional and social situations.
The classes are individually tailored to meet your specific pronunciation and accent reduction goals.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Victor McCay received his MFA from Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts and has worked professionally in the Film and Television Industry for the last 13 years. He has worked with many of the industry’s top talents and has appeared in dozens of films and television shows. His credits include Harry’s Law, CSI:NY, NCIS, Boston Legal, West Wing, The Ring Two and upcoming Warner Brothers feature, Argo, directed by Ben Affleck. His IMDB page can be seen here:
